Tracking Device Hidden In Your Color Printer

Technology can definitely be a wonderful thing, making life easier and an awesome tool for communication and business, but when does technology cross the line? what are our rights as far as protecting our own privacy? Consumers often purchase standard office products without thinking twice about their privacy, but recent news has indicated that some well known color printer manufacturers are not informing customers of the tracking device.

Should consumers be notified at the point of sale as to whether a tracking device is installed on their color printer?
